April 16, 2015 – Toscana Energy Income Corporation (“Toscana Energy” or the “Company”) (TSX: TEI) announces that, due to the current commodity price environment and to protect the Company’s financial flexibility, the Company has reduced its monthly dividend from $0.135 per common share (“Common Share“) of the Company to $0.10 per Common Share (or the equivalent of $0.405 per Common Share to $0.30 per Common Share on a quarterly basis), a decrease of approximately 26%. The declaration of dividends is determined on a monthly basis by the board of directors of the Company and is based on the sustainability of cash flows and earnings in the future. The Company believes that based on its current forecasts, expectations with respect to continuing commodity price weakness and the budget for its 2015 fiscal year, that the revised dividend is sustainable for the remainder of 2015.
The Company also confirms the cash dividend of $0.10 per Common Share to be paid on May 15, 2015 in respect of April 2015 production of the Company for shareholders of record on April 30, 2015. The ex-dividend date is April 28, 2015. Once paid, total cash dividends distributed by the Company to holders of Common Shares during the 2015 calendar year will be $0.505 per Common Share. This dividend is an eligible dividend for purposes of the Income Tax Act (Canada).
